Foam Magazine's Call for Talent 2012
The Foam annual Talent Call is designed to showcase exceptional young photographers from all over the world. Every year, Foam Magazine dedicates its Fall issue to publishing the work of 15 selected talents. It is a springboard into the international photography industry for these artists, giving them international recognition and acclaim. Last year the winning portfolios were chosen from over 800 submissions worldwide. We look forward to seeing what 2012 has to offer!

Inge Morath Award 2011
The Magnum Foundation and the Inge Morath Foundation announce the 11th annual Inge Morath Award. The annual award of $5,000 is awarded by the Magnum Foundation to a female photographer under the age of 30, to support the completion of a long-term documentary project. One award winner and up to two finalists are selected by a jury composed of Magnum photographers and the director of the Inge Morath Foundation.

Getty Images Grants for Editorial Photography
We believe that photojournalism is a powerful tool for telling compelling social, political and cultural stories. We also understand that creating and managing world-class photography assignments requires time, freedom, support and considerable resources. Since 2005, we have awarded five Grants for Editorial Photography annually to professional photojournalists. Each grant provides $20,000, plus editorial, logistical and promotional support. We also award four student grants of $5,000 per year to photojournalism students at accredited schools.

Emerging Photographer Grant 2012
The Emerging Photographer Fund grant was initiated by David Alan Harvey in 2008, and is awarded by the Magnum Foundation, a non-profit created by the member photographers from Magnum Photos, Inc. Funding is designed to support continuation of a photographer's personal project. This body of work may be of either journalistic mission or purely personal artistic imperatives. The primary intent is to support emerging photographers who will become the icons of tomorrow.

W. Eugene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography
The W. Eugene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography was established in 1978 following the death of Gene Smith, the legendary American photo essayist. It is today the most prestigious honor in documentary photography. Every year it recognizes a photographer who has demonstrated an exemplary commitment to documenting the human condition in the spirit of Smith's concerned photography and dedicated compassion.
For 2012, the amount of the grant will be $30,000. An additional $5,000 in fellowship money will be dispersed, at the discretion of the jury, to one or more finalists deemed worthy of special recognition. Awards will be presented in a ceremony held in New York City in early October.

JGS Quarterly Photography Contest
Joy of Giving Something, Inc. (JGS) established in 2009 an ongoing international quarterly contest that encourages artists to share their unique perspective. Quarterly winners will receive $1,000 and their work will be featured in a solo exhibition at the Forward Thinking Museum. Annual winners will receive the JGS Artist Award in the amount of $5,000 and their work will be featured in a solo exhibition at the FTM.

CDS/Honickman First Book Prize in Photography
American photographers who are pursuing work of creative or social importance have too few opportunities for support and recognition. This is especially true when photographers are engaged in personal or in-depth projects that do not have direct commercial appeal. While there are other sources for grants and fellowships in photography, the chance to see a body of work in print, as a coherent book-length work, is rare. Concerned about this problem and recognizing their shared interests, the Honickman Foundation and the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University came together to create this important biennial book-publication prize.
Winners of the CDS/Honickman First Book Prize in Photography receive a grant of $3,000, publication of a book of photography, and inclusion in a website devoted to presenting the work of the prizewinners.
