ICP's Community Partnerships provide young people from underserved communities with life skills and educational resources. To this end, ICP has established collaboratively designed programs with schools and community-based organizations throughout the city to teach photography, writing, and public speaking with the goal of fostering self-esteem, community development, and social change. While each program maintains its own unique focus, the curricula generally include photographic and writing assignments, theme-based personal development discussions, related slide presentations, critiques, field trips, and guest artist visits. Serving over 250 students per year, the programs culminate in presentations for family and friends celebrating the students' achievements.
